CPS South West is the main prosecuting authority covering Gloucestershire, Avon & Somerset and
Devon & Cornwall. Independent from the police but closely connected, they prepare and present cases to the courts to help to bring prosecutions to offenders.

They run Local Scrutiny and Involvement Panels to engage with communities with protected characteristics.

Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) is a county-wide service designed to reduce the level of domestic abuse and improve the safety of victims and their families. They work with young people, from 13-19 and any adult 19+ regardless of gender or sexual orientation. They offer a variety of support packages, depending on the needs of the client.

Mind provide mental health advice, support and services across Swindon and Gloucestershire. The overall aim is to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem in our area. The Gloucestershire service, Alexandra Wellbeing House, provides a safe, therapeutic environment for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges who need up to two weeks support and advice from wellbeing support staff. The service is staffed Monday to Sunday during the day with an on-call system available during the night.
